Joanne Ronalds
Clinical Psychologist
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults over the age of 18. My experience and areas of interest include:
trauma (including PTSD and Complex PTSD)
anxiety and depression
interpersonal difficulties
I focus on therapy that deepens your understanding of the past and how it presents itself in the present. This reflection aims to identify unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour to promote growth and well being. I work with individuals seeking deeper self-understanding, with the aim of enhancing their relationships with themselves and others.
I have an integrative approach to therapy and draw on a variety of treatment modalities to facilitate change including:
Schema therapy
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Psychodynamic psychotherapy
Before MyStory Psychology, I worked across a range of public and private settings including Monash Health, Albert Road Clinic, Cabrini and SECASA.
Clinical Supervision
I am a Board Approved Supervisor and enjoy supervising early career psychologists and psychology registrars seeking endorsement.

Psychotherapy is a journey through the stories we tell ourselves. In the hands of a skilled therapist, these stories can be rewritten, leading us to a new understanding of who we are and who we can become.
